Whoever Realises What The Innovators Have Abandoned of the Sunnah and Left Behind and He Clings to it, He Is a Person of The Sunnah and The Jamaa’ah- [By Imaam al-Barbahaaree]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah) said: ‘Whoever realises what the innovators have abandoned of the Sunnah and left behind and he clings to it, he is a person of the Sunnah and the Jamaa’ah. He should be followed, helped and protected.  He is one of those whom the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) bequeathed that he should be looked after'[1]

Shaikh Saaleh al Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] commented saying:

That is (in the saying of the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam)]: ‘They are those upon that which I and my Companions are upon today.’   He (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) advised that one should be with them, with this Jamaa’ah, with this company of people, with this group upon that which the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) and his Companions were upon. However, this requires two affairs:

The First Affair Is: Knowledge; that we learn what the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) and his Companions were upon. As for the ignorant one, he does not learn, whilst thinking that what the one in opposition is upon is what the Messenger was upon, when that is not the case.

The Second Affair Is: To be firm upon that which the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) and his Companions were upon; because the one who traverses upon the Sunnah will receive grief, trouble and intimidation from the people; but he must exercise patience and not turn away from the truth. He does not bargain (the truth) nor leaves anything of it; and for that reason it has been reported about the one who holds upon his Religion at the end of time, that he is like one holding onto a burning coal or prickles, due to what he will receive of hardship, grief and trouble from the people. So he requires patience.[2]

More Patience and Steadfastness Required When Falsehood Increases – [By Shaikh Rabee]

Shaikh Rabee [may Allaah preserve him] when he said:

It is obligated on the people of truth to exercise patience and increase in adhering to this religion of truth. Whenever the desires become abundant, it becomes necessary to increase in acquainting [oneself] with the truth and adhering to it, as the Messenger [alayhis salaatu was-salaam] said: The one who lives long amongst you will see a lot of differences, so upon you is that you follow my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided khulafaa. Bite onto it with your molar teeth [i.e. hold onto it firmly] and beware of newly invented matters [in the religion], for every newly invented matter [in the religion] is a bidah and every bidah is misguidance.

The Deadly Scorpions [Ahlul Bidah On Twitter] – Once Again – Think That They Can Sting

Imaam Al-Barbahaari [rahimahullaah] said:

The likeness of the people of innovation is that of scorpions burying their heads and bodies in the sand and leaving their tails out; so, when they are able they sting. Likewise, the people of innovation hide themselves within the people and when they are able, they convey what they desire.

KHUTBA: Prophet ‘Eesaa & The Ruling On Celebrating Christmas

In this Khutbah Ustaadh Rayaan briefly describes the birth, life and death of Prophet ‘Eesaa, the son of Maryum, ‘alayhi as-salām. He also touches on the errors that some of the Christians fall into with regards to the status of Prophet ‘Eesaa, ‘alayhi as-salām.

After this Ustaadh goes on to describe the true reality of Christmas and the origins of it’s various characters & symbols.

The position of Muslims regarding Christmas, after knowing the sources of where these beliefs come from, is that it is impermissible to practice or to participate in anything that involves the celebration of Christmas.

Adhere to Silence Until You Are Required to Speak – By Imaam Ibn Hibbaan [rahimahullaah]

Imaam Ibn Hibbaan
[rahimahullaah]
said:
It is incumbent upon a sensible person to [strictly] adhere to silence until he is required to speak. How numerous are those who are regretful [after] speaking and few are those who are regretful when they remain silent.

A Destructive Trait of Those Who Crave For Leadership – By Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] said:

Its seekers hasten to obtain it to achieve their goals, (such as) exaltedness in the earth; servitude of the hearts to them; inclination towards them; aiding them in all their goals, whilst they are exalted above them and conquered.  This pursuit of leadership brings about corruption-which none can enumerate except Allaah- such as rebellion, envy, transgression, enmity, oppression, trials, being ardent in defending oneself at the expense of violating the rights of Allaah, exalting those despised by Allaah and belittling those honoured by Allaah.

O You Who Believe! Fear Allaah and Be With Those Who Are Truthful – [A Brief Admonition By Imaam Ibnul Qayyim]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] said:

Allaah [The Most High] punishes the liar by preventing and holding him back from the things that brings about wellbeing and benefit for him; and Allaah rewards the truthful person by granting him the ability to obtain the affairs of wellbeing in his worldly life and afterlife. There is nothing similar to truthfulness by way of which the affairs of well- being of this world and the afterlife are obtained. And there is nothing similar to lies by way of which both of them (i.e. the affairs of wellbeing in this life and the next) are corrupted.

Allaah (The Most High) said:

[يا أيها الذين آمنوا اتقوا الله وكونوا مع الصادقين –O you who believe! Fear Allaah and be with those who are truthful]

Beware! Beware! Beware! Rumour Mongering Grips Many People During Times of Fitan

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Ibn Umar [radiyallaahu-anhumaa] said:

There was neither rumour mongering in the time of the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] nor in the time of Abu Bakr [radiyallaahu-anhu]; neither in the time of Umar [radiyallaahu-anhu] nor in the time of Uthmaan [radiyallaahu-anhu]; rather rumour mongering started in the time of Fitan.”

Among The Lofty Aims Behind Criticism – [Speak With Knowledge And Justice]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) stated:

The aim is not to transgress against anyone- neither the opponent nor other than him; neither neglecting his rights nor describing him specifically with what he is not to be specifically described with, which is shared by both him and others. Rather the aim is (to utter) speech that is based on the merits of (sound) knowledge, justice and religion, just as Allaah (The Most high) stated:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُونُوا قَوَّامِينَ لِلَّهِ شُهَدَاءَ بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَآنُ قَوْمٍ عَلَىٰ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا ۚ اعْدِلُوا هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah and be just witnesses and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety. [5:8]

KHUTBA: Surah al-Falaq & an-Naas | Rayaan Barker

‘Uqbah bin ‘Amir (May Allaah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allaah (salla llaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said: “Do you not know that last night certain Ayat were revealed the like of which there is no precedence. They are: ‘Say: I seek refuge with (Allaah) the Rabb of the daybreak’ (Surah 113), and ‘Say: I seek refuge with (Allaah) the Rabb of mankind’ (Surah 114).”
