*Abdul Maalik has become confounded, disorderly and erratic.

*At present he is a follower of Ali Halabi (i.e. the innovator) and he (i.e. Abdul Maalik) is not to be referred to.

What about his old books?

*A student of knowledge can benefit from his old books, such as Madaarik An-Nadhr, which is a good book against the khawaarij. He also has a book on Hijaab about which the Shaikh Ubaid agreed with the questioner that there is no harm in reading it.

Update: Provisional time table [Lessons for brothers and sisters @ Masjid Al-Furqaan (stoke)]

Assalaamu alaykum warahmatullaah;

Pray all the brothers and sisters are upon good.

We are pleased to inform the brothers and sisters that Arabic Lessons [Madeenah Book 1] will be taught at Masjid Al-Furqaan starting on Friday 21st November 2014. Lesson will begin at 6pm, but time may change next week. Bring your note pads, pens and pencils.

 

Other lessons:

[1] Qur’aan School for children: [4pm -6pm (Monday to Friday)]

[2] Islamic studies lessons for children: [Fridays 5:20pm -5:55]

Ongoing Topics : Islaam, Imaan and Ihsaan; Stories of the Prophets (by Imaam Sadi); Stories of the righteous people (The Khulafaa Ar-Raashideen, the rest of the Sahaabah and the righteous people based on authentic sources)

[3] Lessons for Adults: Mondays after Ishaa 6:30pm

*A small risaalah on the Conditions, pillars, obligations and nullifiers of wudu

*The misconceptions about the four Imaams and blameworthy Taqleed

Note: A small risaalah on creed will be started soon. We are just waiting for the teacher from Birmingham to select the suitable risaalah for the community In-Shaa-Allaah.

In addition to this we strive to make sure that the Juma khutbah is focussed on a particular series in order that the common Muslims may acquire some understanding in the affairs of basic creed, worship, manhaj, dealings, purification of the soul etc Juma khutbah starts at 12:45 at present. At present the series is on Ibaadah (worship)

We ask the brothers and sisters to exercise patience. In-Shaa-Allaah we’ll soon have regular and more lessons in the Masjid.

The Grand Total including pledges that we as a community have raised towards the Purchase of Masjid al Furqan during the last 7 nights of Ramadhaan was £15,582!!!

From the initial figure of £24,000 which was originally  outstanding we now ONLY have £8418.00 remaining.   We ask our brothers & Sisters to make one final push – so that we can clear this small amount within this month of Shawwaal.

A few months ago we decided to purchase the building that houses Masjid al Furqan. We currently still have 24,000 pounds outstanding to pay to the owner.

We are asking all of our brothers and sisters to donate generously during these final days of Ramadhaan so that we may complete this project.

Official Decision and Announcement of the High Judiciary Council of Saudi Arabia

The official decision and announcement of the High Judiciary Council of Saudi Arabia is that since the moon of Ramadhaan was not sighted this evening, in Saudi Arabia, we shall be completing thirty (30) days of Sha’baan (1435 A.H.), in accordance with the hadeeth of the Messenger of Allaah (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam):

((Fast when you see the crescent. If it is obscured to you, then complete thirty days of Sha’baan. And break your fast when you see the crescent. If it is obscured to you then fast thirty days)), [transmitted by al-Bukhaaree and Muslim].

Subsequently, we shall be starting our taraaweeh prayers tonight (Saturday 28 June, 2014) after the ‘Ishaa. prayer, in preparation for the first fast of Ramadhaan on Sunday 29 June, 2014, in shaa.-Allaah.
