Imaam Bin Baaz said: Perform your deeds for the Sake of Allaah alone!

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) said:

“Riyaa is that you perform an act (of worship) and intend that the people see you, praise and commend you. And from that is to perform an act (of worship) in order to be heard, such as reading (the Qur’aan) in order that you are praised and that it is said: ”Indeed, his reading is good and beautiful”; or you perform a lot of Dhikr in order that you are praised and it is said: “He performs a lot of dhikr;” or you enjoin good and forbid evil so that you are praised and commended. This is Riyaa and Shirk Asghar. Therefore, it is obligatory to be mindful of this and that you perform your deeds for the Sake of Allaah alone; and not for the people, their praises and commendations for you; rather you learn in order to act and teach your brothers. And you lead them in the prayer whilst hoping for the reward from Allaah and intending to benefit them, and not out of an intention to be seen or heard.

[4] The Haal of Abdul Maalik Ar-Ramadaani! [Shaikh Muhammad Bin Haadi Clarifies one of Abdul Maalik’s falsehoods]

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Shaikh Muhammad Bin Haadi (may Allaah preserve him) stated

At present-during these days in particular-this term Ghuluww is utilised by the one who wants to slip away from the Salafi Manhaj. He does not utilise it in a correct manner. It is utilised by the likes of Ali Hasan Al-Halabi and those with him; it is utilised by Abul Hasan Al-Maribi and those with him; it is utilised by Abdul Maalik Ramadaani and those with him.

All these people do not intend (i.e. in their usage of the term Ghuluww) the Gluluww that the Messenger of Allaah [sallal-laahu-alayhis-wasallam] (meant or warned against); rather in reality they intend (by way of their usage of the term Ghuluww) Ahlus Sunnah Wal-Jamaa-ah. They intend the Salafiyyoon-those who wage war against Bidah; shunning it against those who (carry it); shunning those who establish it, or those who beautiful its affair or defend its people, or find (lame) excuses for them. They (i.e. these people who falsely accuse Ahlus Sunnah of Ghuluww) find excuses for these innovators-within the ranks of Ikhwaan al-muslimeen, or the Soorooris or those upon their path- who have separated from that which Ahlus Sunnah were upon during their era…. [End. Slightly paraphrased]

Therefore, be warned against Abdul-Maalik Ar-Ramadaani because he has been invited by the obstinate UK followers and defenders of Al-Halabi and Al-Maribi at Brixton and Luton. In-Shaa-Allaah some beneficial points will be extracted from the Arabic refutation against Abdul Maalik Ar-Ramadaani very soon. We ask Allaah for safety, steadfastness and truthfulness. Aameen

Reminder to our brothers and sisters @ Masjid Al-Furqaan—Please utilize your time wisely!

Please occupy yourselves with the Duroos of the Tullaab in the Salafi Masaajid; or listen via the Salafi Radios. They transmit the books of Aqeedah and Fiqh with the explanations of the Ulama, and clarifications on Manhaj issues. Do not spend much time on twitter and YouTube; rather be very selective regarding what you read and utilize your time wisely.

[2] The Ten supporting (pillars) for acquiring knowledge [The 2nd affair (Sincerity)]

A person has to (direct) his intention to Allaah in seeking knowledge-being sincere to Allaah and neither desiring (سمعة i.e. his intention should not be the desire to be heard) nor (رياء i.e. his intention should not be the desire to be seen); neither seeking fame nor a worldly goal from the worldly goals. Whoever directs his intention (sincerely) to Allaah, then Allaah will grant him success and reward him based on that. That is because (seeking) knowledge is worship; rather it is from the greatest (affairs of worship).

Deeds do not (receive) reward, except when carried out for the Sake of Allaah (The Most High) and in accordance with the way of the Messenger of Allaah (sallal laahu alayhi wasallam).  Allaah (The Mighty and Majestic) stated:

[إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَواْ وَّٱلَّذِينَ هُم مُّحۡسِنُونَ– Truly, Allah is with those who fear Him (keep their duty unto Him), and those who are Muhsinun(good-doers)] 16:128

The greatest affair of Taqwah (fear of Allaah) is to sincerely direct one’s intention to Allaah. And besides (the fact that) the one who shows off in seeking knowledge is a loser in the worldly life, he is (also threatened with) punishment in the afterlife, just as it has been (narrated about) those three people who will be thrown in the hell fire on their faces, and amongst them will be a man who sought knowledge so that he is called a scholar and it was said. ———————————————————————————————-

[1] Abu Hurairah (radiyallaahu-anhu) said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) saying: Indeed, the first of the people who will be judged on the Day of Judgment will be a man who died a martyr (in battle). He will be brought forth and (Allaah) will make known to him His Favours and he will acknowledge them. (Allah) will say: And what did you do with them? He will say: I fought for your (sake) until I died a martyr. He will say: You have lied; rather you fought so that it might be said (about you): He is brave and it has been said. Then it will be commanded that he dragged on his face until he is cast into Hell-Fire. (The second person) will be a man who studied (religious) knowledge and taught it, and he used to recite the Qur’an. He will be brought forth and (Allaah) will make known to him His Favours and he will acknowledge them. (Allah) will say: And what did you do with (such favours)? He will say: I studied (religious) knowledge and taught it and I recited the Qur’an for Your sake. He will say: You have lied; rather you studied (religious) knowledge so that it might be said (about you): He is learned; and you recited the Qur’an so that it might be said (about you): He is a reciter. And it has been said. Then it will be commanded that he be dragged on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire. (The third person) will be man whom Allah enriched and to whom He gave all kinds of wealth. He will be brought forth and Allah will make known to him His Favours and he will acknowledge them. (Allah) will say: And what did you do with them? He will say: I left no way in which You like that (wealth) should be spent, except that I spent for Your sake. He will say: You have lied; rather you did so that it might be said (about you): He is generous, and it has been said. Then it will be commanded that he be dragged on his face until he is cast into Hell-Fire.”[Muslim. Number 1905]
