[1] A ridiculous insinuation uttered by some people in Stoke-On-Trent after hearing clarifications of Scholars on Palestine

In The Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Indeed, the Salafiyyoon return to the upright Scholars of the Ummah in times of adversity. So, in the Khutab, the khateeb at Masjid Al-Furqan transmits the guidance of the Scholars and issue warning against the people of Bidah – those who attempt to hijack the narrative and divert the Ummah from the sound verdicts of the well-known Senior Salafi Scholars. Recently, a strange statement has reached us that the khateeb at Masjid Al-Furqan is indirectly blaming the Palestinians for what is going on!

Firstly, there is no calamity that befalls this Ummah, except due to the weakness we find ourselves in. This has always been made known by the Scholars of this Ummah. Read here regarding what Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saalih Al-Uthaymeen [may Allah have mercy upon him] has stated. https://salaficentre.com/2023/10/21/1-evaluating-the-zionists-claimed-right-of-return-to-the-sacred-land/

What is mentioned in the above links applies to all of us as an Ummah, therefore, none is singling out the Palestinian brothers and sisters, rather, it is incumbent upon all of us to return wholeheartedly to the religion ordained by Allah. Also, listen to Al-Allaamah Saalih Al-Luhaydan's [may Allah have mercy upon him] speech in the link:

So, let us understand this affair without any ambiguity. The Khateeb has not once specifically blamed the Palestinians, rather, he indirectly mentioned the reckless Ikhwaanees and Jihadists Hamas (Allies of the Raafidah of Iran) who bring calamity upon the people of Palestine by doing that which the Salafi Scholars have warned against, such as the likes of Imaam Al-Albaani, who when asked about attacking the merciless Zionists, he replied, “If your circumstances carry on in this manner, imagine, what will be the outcome? What will the Muslims be seeing and witnessing?! What will the Palestinians be massacred for? What will be the outcome (when) a Yahoodi is killed and in return tenfold of Palestinians are killed, thousands put in prison? Would this be a victory against the Yahood? This is not the (right) path, (which) actually the Muslims have – at present – wrongly identified as the (correct) way of Jihad”. [Reference 2]

Secondly, we also transmitted – during the khutba – the guidance of the Scholars related to a very important condition of Jihaad, which is that it has to be based on the ability to do so. Imam Muhammad Ibn Saalih Al-Uthaymeen [may Allah have mercy upon him] said: “It is obligatory for Muslims to perform Jihaad in the path of Allah, but let it be known that jihad has conditions. One of its conditions is to have the ability (to do so). If the Muslims are unable to do it, then indeed, Allah [The Exalted] has not made it binding on them (to do so) due to His statement: [لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا – Allah does not place an obligation on a soul (i.e. a person) beyond their capability]. And that is because the Prophet[ peace and blessings of Allah be upon him] was not commanded to fight except when he had a state with the apparatus of government, strength, and force to be reckoned with. It is not common sense and wisdom that we fight whilst not being able to do so because this means that our enemy will overpower us until he destroys us. For example, if a man departed with his sword, dagger, and spear with another man with missiles, planes, and the like, and said, “I am fighting for the sake of Allah”, do we agree to this? We will not agree because what this means is that you have exposed yourself to the enemy. [Reference 1]

Thirdly, we also transmitted that Non-combatants should not be harmed, in particular quoting the recent criticism by Saudi Prince Turki Al-Faisal against both Hamas and The Yahood Government for their evil behaviour. Read: https://salaficentre.com/2023/10/18/a-muslim-ruler-gives-a-summary-of-the-well-known-brutality-of-a-government-in-which-far-right-yahood-have-been-given-positions-of-authority/

Fourthly, we transmitted Imaam Al-Albaani’s Specific Advice to The Palestinian Brothers and Sisters as follows:

Questioner: What is the ruling on the people of Palestine in this era and what is the ruling regarding the land they are in?

The Shaikh: They are between two affairs. Whoever among them can migrate to an Islamic country to save his religion and himself, this is his obligation. As for whoever cannot, he must be patient just as the weak were patient at the beginning of the Islamic era in Makkah. This was the obligation of everyone who was there.

Questioner: What is the ruling regarding the land they are in?

The Shaikh: The ruling of?

Questioner: Ruling regarding the land they are in?

The Shaikh: It is land that is governed based on (the laws) of disbelief (i.e. the Zionists). If there were Muslims there, it would have been obligated to fight them until the country is returned to its Muslim people.

Questioner: Another question: If the lands around them are not governed by what Allah has revealed, then their migration will be from one land of disbelief to another land of disbelief, but if not, then from the land of disbelief to the land of Islam.

The Shaikh: No, they are not the same. These are Islamic countries, even if there is a ruling in it, as you all know, in many aspects that are in opposition to Islam, but over there (i.e. land of the Yahood) the ruling is the ruling of an unbeliever. If the two are compared (i.e. the land stolen by the Yahood in Palestine in comparison to the Muslim countries where some rulings oppose Islam), then the ruling (in land stolen by the Yahood) is Jewish, but here (in this case regarding Muslim lands) the matter is not like that, so it is not permissible to compare this country to that, and this is as Ibn Hazm stated. If this analogy were (to be considered) correct, it would have been the sum and substance of falsehood. To compare Islamic countries that are governed by Islamic ruling, even if it has (the mistakes committed by the rulers), it is not the same as the ruling based on the Tawraat or the Injeel, or any law that opposes all the revealed divine laws.

The Shaikh continued regarding Hijrah: It does not mean that they exit as non-migrants, but rather that they should leave, firstly, as migrants, and secondly, not to stay in (another) land permanently, but rather to do their best, each one to the best of his ability, within the limits of his capabilities, to return to their country, powerful and victorious over the enemies, and not be an easy target for the Yahood.

This point should be noted that when we speak about migration, we do not mean to settle (permanently) in (another) land, but rather for each one of them to reflect and do what he can in order to return to his country, whether in the near or distant future. This is in the hand of Allah [The Mighty and Majestic]. [Reference 3]

Peace Treaty With The Jews – By Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz

Finally, we mentioned the subject matter of peace treaties and here is a more detail statement:

Question: Some people understood from your answer to the question of peace with the Jews – which is the first question in the interview – that peace or truce with the Jews who have usurped the land and the aggressors is totally permissible, and that it is permissible to love them…..etc

Answer: Peace (Treaty) with the Jews or other unbelievers does not necessitate love or allegiance; rather, it necessitates peace and security between the two parties, stopping some from harming others, and other affairs, such as (engaging in) buying and selling, exchanging ambassadors… and other dealings that do not necessitate love or allegiance to the unbelievers….. [read the full statement of the Imaam in the link provided in reference 4]

Prince Turki Al-Faisal – [may Allah preserve him and all the Muslim rulers, and increase all of them in strength and insight] – said: “I condemn Hamas further undermining the Palestinian Authority as Israel has been doing. I condemn Hamas for sabotaging the attempt of Saudi Arabia to reach a peaceful resolution to the plight of the Palestinian people”. [Reference 5]

This is what we have mentioned, and none claims something else except either the Hizbiyyoon whose methodology is that of haste and corrupt Siyaasah, or some of those common people who are diverted from the guidance of the Scholars due to emotions. None of us can be more compassionate than the Scholars of the Ummah and that is why they tell us exactly what we need to do to return to strength. We do not have except the methodology of the Salafus Saalih and anything besides it is either Bidah or error. The Khateeb addressed these issues because he knows that there are people in Stoke-On-Trent who carry misconceptions in affairs related to the Salafi Methodology and it is incumbent upon both Masjid Al-Fuqan and Masjid Abi Hurairah to give clarifications based on the guidance of the Senior Salafi Scholars and not to fear the blame of the blamers.

Be Merciful to Others And You Will Receive Mercy, Forgive Others And Allaah Will Forgive You!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy.

ارحموا ترحموا ، واغفروا يغفر الله لكم ، وويل لأقماع القول ، وويل للمصرين الذين يصرون على ما فعلوا وهم يعلمون

Abdullah Bin Amr Ibn Al-Aas [radiyallaahu-anhumaa] said: “The Prophet [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said, ‘Be merciful to others and you will receive mercy. Forgive others and Allah will forgive you. Woe to the vessels that catch speech [i.e. the ears]. Woe to those who persist – those who consciously persist upon what they commit [i.e. sin] whilst they know’”.

Reminder From The Above Hadeeth By Shaikh Zayd Bin Haadi [rahimahullaah]

“Be merciful to others and you will receive mercy”: Meaning be merciful to  yourselves and to others. The one who is merciful to himself by performing acts of obedience to Allaah, abandon disobedience to Allaah and restrain himself from [the causes of] Allaah’s punishment, shows mercy to another person in that which contains one’s wellbeing, aids him and fulfil his needs, then indeed Allaah [The Blessed and Exalted] will show him mercy, because recompense is given in accordance with the good deed, and vice versa. That is because the understanding behind this statement, “Be merciful to others and you will receive mercy” comprises of an affair and its answer, which is that the one who does not show mercy to the people will not be shown mercy. In another hadeeth, [the Prophet said], “Those who are merciful will be shown mercy by the Most Merciful [Allah]. Show mercy to those on earth and the One above the heavens will show you mercy”.

“Forgive others and Allah will forgive you”: The intent behind the word Maghfirah in this hadeeth [or context] is to overlook the mistake of the one who commits a mistake. Whoever wrongs you through speech or deed, and then approaches you with an apology and [desires to] free himself from it, then indeed pardon him and do not be harsh towards him, whilst you hope that – behind such pardon- Allaah will pardon you and forgive you your sin- because indeed you did good to one of His servants, pardon him, solve the problem and relinquished your rights, and Allaah is more worthy that you do that for His Sake, so that He pardons you, forgives you your sin, conceal your shortcomings and makes your affair easy.

“Woe to the vessels that catch speech [i.e. the ears]”. This contains a warning [about a person] who hears the truth but is heedless. It enters one of his ears and exits the other and he does not benefit from it.

“Woe to those who persist – those who consciously persist upon what they commit [i.e. sin] whilst they know”. They are those who persist upon a sin whilst knowing that it is a sin. Allaah rebuked them because they persist upon sin and they do not fear, unlike the [true] believers because Allaah described them saying:

And those who, when they have committed Fahishah (illegal sexual intercourse etc.) or wronged themselves with evil, remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their sins; – and none can forgive sins but Allah – And do not persist in what (wrong) they have done, while they know. [Surah Aal Imraan. Aayah 135]

[An Excerpt from At-taleeqaat Al-Maleehah Alaa Silsilah Al-Ahaadeeth As-Saheehah. Vol 1 pages 63-64. Slightly paraphrased]

Hadeeth: Splitting Does Not Occur Between Two People Who Love Each Other, Except Due to a Sin Committed By One of Them

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Anas Bin Maalik [radiyallaahu-anhu] said that the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] said: ‘’There are not two people who love each other for the sake of Allaah, and then they split from each other, except that it is due to a sin of one of them’’. [Ref 1]

Reminders From the Above Hadeeth – By Al-Allaamah Zayd Bin Haadee [rahimahullaah]

This Hadeeth shows that to love one another – the religious and worldly benefits it contains – is legislated in the Sharee’ah. And regarding the religious benefits of this love, (it brings about) co-operation upon righteousness and piety; and as for its worldly benefits, it (results in attaining those) necessities of life that are sought after.

Those who love one another are attached to each other and remain upon that until one of them commits a sin that leads to the destruction of this legislated love- the love that was established for the sake of Allaah and for the sake of Islamic brotherhood. Therefore, it is a good thing that the person abandons the sin he committed, which was the cause of separation between them, so that brotherhood for the sake of Allaah is restored as it was before; and so that both the religious and worldly benefits of that brotherly love can continue. The basis of the sin committed by one of them may have occurred without any external influence [i.e. it was solely the person’s fault], or it may have occurred due to tale-carrying and instigated by some of the devils amongst mankind- those who hasten to caused corruption in the earth.

Loving one another for the sake of Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] carries reward that has been mentioned in the Sharee’ah texts. Abu Hurairah [radiyallaahu-anhu] reported that the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] said, “Allaah will give shade to seven on the day when there will be no shade but His [i.e. Shade from His Throne (Ref 2)]’’…and amongst those people are “Two people who love each other only for the sake of Allaah and they meet and part in Allaah’s cause only”. [Ref 3]

Anas [radiyallaahu-anhu] reported that the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] said: “Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the (delight) of faith: The one whom Allaah and His Messenger become dearer to him than anything else; the one who loves a person and he loves him only for the sake of Allaah, and the one who hates to revert to disbelief as he hates to be thrown into the fire”. [Ref 4]

Therefore, O Muslim! After you have understood this, then take a severe warning regarding the causes – both statements and deeds- that will ruin the love that has been legislated for the Muslims to have for one another. Hasten towards the virtue of brotherhood and love for one another for the sake of Allaah due to its great and numerous rewards. Abu Hurairah [radiyallaahu-anhu] reported that the Messenger of Allaah [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] said, “Allaah will say on the Day of Judgement, ‘Where are those who love each other for the sake of My Glory? Today, I will shelter them in my shade on a day when there is no shade but mine [i.e. the shade from Allaah’s Throne (Ref 5)]’”. [Ref 6]

The Greatest Leaders And Benefactors of Humankind Without Exception In Every Era After The Prophets

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Upright Scholars Are The Greatest Leaders And Benefactors of Humankind Without Exception – After The Prophets – In Every Era

Allaah [The Most High] said: [ وَمِمَّنۡ خَلَقۡنَآ أُمَّةٌ۬ يَہۡدُونَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَبِهِۦ يَعۡدِلُونَ – And of those whom We have created, there is a community who guides (others) with the truth, and establish justice therewith] – Meaning:  And of all those I [Allaah] created, there is a virtuous community, [who strive to] perfect themselves and others. They are guided and guiding others to the truth. They know the truth, act upon it, make it known, call to it and [encourage others] to act on it. [وَبِهِۦ يَعۡدِلُونَ -And establishes justice therewith]- Meaning,  between the people in their judgements, when they judge in affairs of wealth, blood [i.e. crime of murder, injury, capital punishment etc.], the rights of the people and other than that.  These ones are the leaders of guidance and the lamps that [remove] darkness.

They are the ones whom Allaah bestowed with Eemaan and righteous action. They command and recommend one another to the truth [i.e. order one another to perform all kinds of good deeds which Allah has ordained, and abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which Allah has forbidden], and recommend one another to patience [for the sufferings, harms, and injuries which one may encounter in Allaah’s Cause during preaching His religion of Islamic Monotheism etc]. They are the truthful ones, whose status comes after the status of Mesenger ship.  They are of different levels amongst themselves – each of them in accordance with his state of [piety] and lofty status. Glorified and Exalted be Allaah who bestows His special Mercy to whosoever He wills and Allaah is the Owner of great bounty. [1]

Shaikh Abdullah Bukhaari [may Allaah preserve him] stated: It is obligatory to attach the Ummah to the Rabbaani Scholars- those who are well known for their goodness, steadfastness, leadership and sound advice to the Ummah, and they are those who teach the smaller affairs of knowledge before the greater affairs.  Therefore, their status must be made known amongst the people because the scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets, as reported in the narration from the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam]. Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] stated in (his) explanation of this hadith: This is from the greatest virtues of the people of knowledge. And because the Prophets are the best of the creation, so their inheritors are the best after them.  And when it is the case that everyone who is inherited from passes on inheritance to his inheritor, then the inheritors are those who take the place of those they inherit from. And none will take the place of the Messengers in propagating what they have been sent with, except the Scholars. They are the most worthy of their inheritance. [Ref 2]

Imaam As-Sadi [rahimahullaah] said:

They [the upright scholars and the teachers of the Sharee’ah] are the intermediary between the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] and his Ummah with regards to propagation of his religion and clarification of his Sharee’ah. Had it not been for these ones, the people would have been like cattle.  Their rights are greater than the rights of fathers and the mothers, for indeed they nurture the souls and hearts of the slaves upon the beneficial sciences and sound knowledge.

They are the ones who guide the Ummah in the fundamental and subsidiary affairs of their Religion, return them to the rulings related to the duties that are incumbent upon one to fulfil and dealings, just as they return them to the affairs pertaining to affairs of worship. Through them the kitaab and the Sunnah are established, truth is distinguished from falsehood, guidance is distinguished from misguidance, halaal is distinguished from haraam, good is distinguished from evil, and rectification is distinguished from corruption. Intrusion, Private Conversations, Etiquettes In Gatherings, Spying – [Distinction Between Reality, Ambiguity, Permissibility and Impermissibility]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] said: The basis of Banee Aadam’s misguidance is as a result of ‘General Terms’ and ‘Ambiguous Meanings’ [i.e. terms & meanings which can either be utilised for truth or falsehood when not explained in detail and distinguished], especially if they come in contact with a confused mind, then how about when [evil] desires and misguided enthusiasm is added to that? Therefore, ask the One Who keeps the hearts steadfast [i.e. Allaah] to keep your heart firm upon His Religion and not allow you to fall into this darkness. [Ref 1]

The basis of a person’s Islaam is to testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad [sallal-laahu-alayhi- wasallam] is the Messenger of Allaah, to believe in Allaah, declare that Allaah is One without partner, obey Allaah’s commands, keep away from what Allaah has forbidden and single out Allaah in worship. And safeguarding this path [necessitates] the prohibition of every expression [term or word] that contains Shirk Billaah [i.e. ascribing partners to Allaah] or Kufr, or will lead to one of the two. [Ref 2]  In the Qur’aan, there are many words that are utilised to rebut the words [or terms] that are in opposition to the call of the Messengers, the revelation that was revealed to them and the truth they brought. [Ref 3]

One of the general fundamental principles [in Islaam] is to know that words [or terms] are two types: Words that are mentioned in the Qur’aan and [authentic] Sunnah, therefore, it is obligated on every believer to affirm them – affirm what Allaah and His Messenger have affirmed, and negate what Allaah and His Messenger have negated. The words [or terms] affirmed by Allaah is truth and the ones Allaah negated are [negated] in truth, for indeed Allaah speaks the truth and guides to the straight path. The words [or terms] of the Sharee’ah are sanctified, and it is from perfection in knowledge that one seeks after the [sound meanings] which the Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasalam] intended by them, in order to affirm what he affirmed and negate the meanings he negated; for indeed it is obligated on us to believe and bear witness to everything he has stated and follow him in everything he has commanded.

As for the words [or terms] that are neither found in the Qur’am and [authentic] Sunnah, nor did the Salaf hold a consensus regarding whether they are negated or affirmed, then it is not incumbent on anyone to agree with the one who negates them or affirms them until its intended meaning is explained. So, if its intended meaning agrees with the [revelation, commands, prohibitions etc] conveyed by the Messenger, it is affirmed; but if its intended meaning is in opposition to the [revelation, commands, prohibitions etc] conveyed by the Messenger, it is rejected. [Ref 4]

Intrusion

Intrusion means affecting someone in a way that annoys them and makes them feel uncomfortable …causing disruption or annoyance through being unwelcomed or uninvited….interrupting a peaceful situation etc

Question To Imaam Muhammad Bin Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah):

When a Muslim shows disapprove of evil (committed by) another person, he (i.e. the doer of the evil) replies to him saying, “You are intrusive” or ‘’Do not interfere in that which does not concern you’’. Is this speech correct in such an instance and what should be the reply to (this person)?

Answer:

This speech of his is incorrect. To say to a person who disapproves of his evil that “You are intrusive” or “This is not your concern”’ is not correct because Allaah (The Most High) commanded us forbid evil and enjoin good. It is obligated on us to enjoin good and forbid evil according to our ability, whether the one who is commanded or prohibited likes it or not. And he [i.e. the one who rejects the evil] should reply to him (saying), “Indeed, this concerns me because Allaah has commanded me to enjoin good and forbid evil, and that is because the believer to another believer is like a solid building- one part supporting the other. So that which concerns a Muslim [in this instance] is a concern of his brother”. [Ref 5]

Private Conversations

Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [may Allaah preserve him] says:

And one of those etiquettes [to be observed in a] social gathering [or when sitting together] is that two [people] should not have a private conversation in isolation of a third person [i.e. a third person who is also present in the same gathering or sitting], because that will offend him. He may harbour an evil suspicion towards them – that they are either conspiring against him or reviling him, or backbiting him, or may think that they are looking down on him. The Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] said, ‘’When three persons are together, then no two of them should hold secret counsel excluding the third person’’.

The Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] said, ‘’When you are three persons sitting together, then no two of you should hold a secret counsel excluding the third person until you are with some other people too, for that would grieve him’’. [End of quote. Ref 6]

This hadeeth is [about the] etiquettes that should be observed when sitting together. If there are three people [together], it is forbidden for two of them to speak in private; because if they speak in private without the third person, he will harbour some doubts – fearing that they are talking about him. Also if they speak in secret without him, he will feel that they are looking down on him and that they do not give him any value, and that is why they hide their affair from him and speak in private without him, because they do not trust him. This will enter his heart and that is why the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] said, ‘’For that would grieve him’’- Meaning: It will bring about sadness in his heart, so he says [to himself], ‘’They are either speaking about me or looking down on me’’, so he becomes sad. Therefore, from the etiquettes of sitting together is that one speaks openly, and speaking should not be between two people in isolation of a third person. As for when there are many people in a sitting – more than three – there is no harm if two people speak in private because the other people are many and they will not harbour anything in their hearts.

This is from the etiquettes of sitting together. The hadeeth forbids two people from speaking to each other in private, whilst isolating a third [person who is also present in the same sitting]. It shows that if there are more than three people, then there is no harm if two people speak in private due to the statement of the Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam], ‘’Until you are with some other people too.’’ So if the reason behind the caution is non-existent [i.e. if there are many other people in the same sitting], then there is no harm [if two people speak in private]. [End of quote. Ref 7]

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz [rahimahullaah] said:

And also if there are four people, they [i.e. three people] should not speak privately in isolation of the fourth person. The intent behind this is that there should be more than one person remaining if the rest are having a private conversation. If a group speaks privately in isolation of another group, then there is no harm in doing so as has preceded in the hadeeth reported by Aa’isha that the Prophet spoke to Faatimah in private [about something] in the house, but not to his wives. [End of quote. Ref 8] Here is the Hadeeth: Imaam Bukhaari Said, ‘’Chapter: Whoever has a confidential talk with somebody in front of the people and the latter does not disclose his companion’s secret, but when his companion dies, he discloses it. http://www.salaficentre.com/2016/10/heart-warming-incident-prophet-sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam-beloved-daughter-faatimah-radiyallaahu-anhaa/ [Ref 9]

It Is Not Allowed to Listen to The Conversations of The People If They Are Not Pleased With That

Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan [hafidhahullaah] said:

It is forbidden for a person to just come and sit with a person who is talking to another person because it may be that they are engaged in a private conversation. The Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] said, “Whoever listens to the talk of some people who do not like him [to listen] or they run away from him, then molten lead will be poured into his ears on the Day of Resurrection. [Sahih Al-Bukhaari Number 7042]. This is a severe threat, so one should not listen to the speech of the people if they do not want anyone to know what they are talking about. [End of quote. Ref 10]

Shaikh Zayd Bin Haadi [rahimahullaah] said:

It may be that two or more people gather to speak about a particular affair that concerns them, and they do not want anyone else to know about it; but then a person or more than one person becomes an obstacle by listening to their speech and [wants] to know what they are talking about, whilst they are not pleased with that. This is an act of transgression and foolishness – that a person involves himself into something that does not concern him. And from the perfection of a person’s Islaam is to leave that which does not concern him. However, there is an exception to this prohibition such as when a person listens into the speech of those who are focused or [involved] in seeking to breach the state of safety and security of the Muslims. [Ref 11]

Indeed, Allaah Is The Most Generous And He Loves Generosity….

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Sahl Bin Sa’d [radiyallaahu-anhu] said that Allaah’s Messenger [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] said, “Indeed, Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic] is The Most Generous and He loves generosity and high moral character, and He hates lowly [evil character]”.

Al-Allaamah Zayd Bin Haadee al-Mad’khalee [rahimahullaah] said:

Al-kareem – The Most Generous – is a name of Allaah [The Blessed and Exalted]. Allaah is Magnanimous, the Most Generous, and He loves that His slaves are generous – generous in their statements, actions and in their dealings with the people. Indeed, generosity is one of the Mighty Attributes of Allaah by way of which He raises the status of a generous person, because it is the opposite of miserliness as well as the opposite of evil speech and conduct. As for the generous person, you always see him having good dealings with the people in speech and action. You see him being generous through spending wealth in its rightful place and he is not miserly. He gives based on what Allaah has obligated on him to give from his wealth.

And when it is the case that Allaah loves generosity because He is The Most Generous and He loves that His slaves are generous, therefore He hates its opposite. He hates lowly [behaviour, conduct, dealing etc] and evil manners which emanates from the vile people – those [whose behaviour] is contrary to that of the generous people.

The intent [behind this hadeeth] is that indeed Allaah loves every good speech and every righteous deed, and every conduct that will [attribute] a person to the people who possess great and lofty characteristics that is beloved to Allaah and the righteous ones amongst Allaah’s servants; and Allaah hates its opposite just as it has been conveyed in this hadeeth.
