[1] A Notification to the Confused and Bewildered Caller to Brotherhood at [Markaz As-Sunnah’ Stoke-On-Trent (Allies of The Hizbiyyoon of Greenlane’s Admin)]

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah (The Most High) said:

لَيْسَ بِأَمَانِيِّكُمْ وَلَا أَمَانِيِّ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ ۗ مَنْ يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ وَلَا يَجِدْ لَهُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا

“It will not be in accordance with your desires (Muslims), nor those of the People of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), whosoever works evil, will have the recompense thereof).”

Imaam as-Sa’di (rahimahullaah) stated that a person merely ascribing himself to any religion will not be of any benefit if he fails to produce evidence to support the soundness of his claims, for actions are what will either testify to the truthfulness of a claim or belie it. [For full details, see Tayseer Al-Kareem Ar-Rahmaan Fee Tafseer Kalaam Al-Mannaan]

Indeed once again those who either follow their desires or deliberately refuse to utilise their intellects are seeking to abandon reality, whilst clinging to delusion and wishful thinking. So they say: What is your verdict against Shaikh Wasiyullaah because he visits a Masjid you guys call hizbiyyoon. Reader: A sensible and truthful person should abandon the likes of these statements because they’re nothing else but emotional nonsense; rather a sensible person should ask himself, saying: What is the basis of the criticisms directed at Markaz at-Tawheed, Markaz As-Sunnah and Markaz al-Huda by Masjid Al-Furqan- is it because of Shaikh Wasiyullah or is it about the Manhaj of [Markaz At-Tawheed, Markaz As-Sunnah and Markaz al-Huda- the allies of the hizbiyyoon of Greenlane’s Admin?!]

Therefore, a sensible and truthful person will not deny the fact that the affair is about the Manhaj of these Maraakiz and not about Shaikh Wasiyullaah, regardless whether the Shaikh visits them or not. The reality of a Hizbi Markaz does not change due to the presence of a Shaikh. These Maraakiz in stoke are nothing else but an extension of Greenlane’s Manhaj and we find that one of Greenlane’s main caller to hizbiyyah and misguidance [the man of Bidah Abu Usama (Goldie)] lectures at Markaz at-Tawheed. See here about Abu Usama: http://www.salafitalk.com/threads/1216-A-Response-to-the-Deceit-of-Abu-Usaamah-Khalifah-and-His-Lying-Tongue

It is absolutely clear to the Admin of Masjid al-Furqaan, the Admin of Al-Markazus Salafi (Manchester) the Admin of Salafipublication and others that Markaz at-Tawheed, Markaz Al-Huda and Markaz as-Sunnah are allies of Greenlane’s Hizbi Admin and the man of bidah Abu Usama. Therefore, there is no need to discuss the matter with the confused caller to brotherhood at Markaz as-Sunnah because their companions are none else but the hardcore hizbiyyoon at Greenlane.

Abu Hurairah (radiyallaahu-anhu) said, the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said: A person is upon the religion of his friend, so let each one of you look at whom he befriends. [As-Saheehah: 97]

Ibn Mas’ ood (radiyallaahu-anhu) said: Indeed a person walks alongside and accompanies the one whom he loves and who is like him.  (Al Ibaanah 2/476).

Al A’maah (rahimahullaah) said: They (the Salaf) did not used to ask anything more about a person after having asked about three affairs: Who he walks with, who he enters upon (i.e. visits) and who he associates with amongst the people. (Al Ibaanah 2/478)

Abdullah Ibn Mas’ood (radiyallaahu anhu) said: Make consideration of the (regions of the) earth by the names given to them and make consideration of a person by his companion. ” (Al Ibaanah 2/497).

Mu’aadh Bin Mu’aadh said to Yahyah bin Sa’eed, “Yaa Abaa Sa’eed! A person may hide his viewpoint from us, but he will not be able to hide this in his son or friend or in one whom he sits with. (Al Ibaanah 2/436)

Indeed Marakaz At-Tawheed, Markaz As-Sunnah and Markaz Al-Huda are allies of the hardcore hizbiyyoon at Greenlane’s Admin and Greenlane’s Admin are allies of the deviant organizations, such as Ihya Turaath and Al-Maghrib Institute. Markaz at-Tawheed in particular invited Adnaan Abdul-Qaadir of Ihya Turaath-(the student and shelterer of the ikhwaani innovator Abdur-Rahmaan Bin Abdul-Kaaliq): See here about Ihya Turaath- the allies of Greenlane: http://www.salafitalk.net/st/printthread.cfm?Forum=9&Topic=5220 and see here about the innovator Abdur Rahmaan Abdul Khaaliq: http://salaficentre.com/2012/04/abdur-rahmaan-abdul-khaaliq-visits-shaikh-muhammad-al-banna-rahimahullaah/

However, the confused caller to brotherhood at Markaz as-Sunnah is ignorant of the fact that the Salafiyyoon of Masjid Al-Furqan and other Salafiyyoon have never warned against the likes of these Maraakiz except due to the fact that these Maraakiz are allies and shelterers of the hizbiyyoon at Greenlane- the allies of Ihya Turaath and Al-Maghrib Institute. So let it be known to the confused caller to brotherhood at Markaz as-Sunnah that we took a firm stance (by the Tawfeeq of Allaah) against Grenlane’s old Admin (under Jamiat Ahle Hadeeth and Abdul Haadi) due to their deviations, even though Shaikh Wasiyullah defended them. So Shaikh Wasiyullah criticized SP due to SP’s uncompromising and courageous stance against Suhaib Hasan, Abdul Haadi and Jamiat ahle Hadeeth. See here about Jamiat Ahle Hadeeth: See here: http://www.salafitalk.net/st/viewmessages.cfm?Forum=9&Topic=3384

Likewise, the confused caller to brotherhood at Markaz as-Sunnah should be aware of the fact that we maintain the same stance against the New Hizbi Admin at Greenlane-allies of ahlul bidah and the deviants at Ihya Turaath and al-Maghrib Institute. Therefore O confused caller to brotherhood at Markaz as-Sunnah! This was the basis of the Shaikh’s criticism against SP and their Salafi brothers, and it has not ceased to be a criticism that is in opposition to reality and devoid of evidence.

On the other hand, Shaikh Wasiyullah’s or any other Shaikh’s visit to a Markaz of Hizbiyyah will not change the reality of such Markaz whilst they maintain their corrupt alliances with ahlul bidah, such as Ihya Turaath and its deviants like Adnaan Abdul Qaadir- the student of the innovator Abdur Rahmaan Bin Abdul Khaaliq. Shaikh Ubaid Bin Abdillaah Al-Jaabiri (may Allaah preserve him) said: The one who knows of a mistake and it is clear to him, then it is not permissible for him to blindly follow a scholar to whom an affair is hidden. And indeed you already heard yesterday that the scholars are not infallible in their Ijtihaadaat. Therefore, it is not permissible to adopt them (i.e. the mistakes of the scholars) as a methodology (to follow). http://salaficentre.com/2013/08/2-an-eye-opener-for-the-seeker-of-truth-alallaamah-ubaid-bin-abdillaah-al-jaabiri-answers/

Finally: We ask Markaz at-Tawheed, Markaz As-Sunnah and Markaz Al-Huda a simple question and that is: What is your stance towards Ahlul Bidah, such as Usama Bin Laadin- is he a khaariji or not? Likewise what is your stance towards Lashkar Taybah (Jamaa’atud Da’wah) and Zakair Niak? Are they upon the Sunnah and Salafiyyah or are they from Ahlul Bidah? Indeed, if you are truthful, then manifest your stance, just as Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadi Al-Madkhali) said: We call to the methodology of the Salaf—to the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of the Messenger.  We utilize them as proofs in our creed; in our acts of worship; in our stances; in our relationship with the rulers and the ruled and in our relationship with the groups and sects.  As for others, they play games and tricks.  By Allaah! You do not find them except that they play tricks and games with the passion (or inclinations) of the youth.

As for the Admin of Masjid al-Furqan, their Manhaj is manifest! They do not defend or co-operate with a single Mubtadi, such as Abdur Rahmaan Abdul Khaaliq and his organization Ihya Turaath! They do not keep quiet about the people of bidah, such as Zakir Niak and Usama Bin Ladin. Likewise, they free themselves from Lashkar Taibah (Jamaa’atud Dawah) and all other people of misguidance.

And Allaah knows best

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz Rebutted the Innovator Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul Khaaliq, For Slandering and Belittling the Saudi Ulama

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

The Mubtadi Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul khaaliq (may Allaah guide him) stated:

Indeed the group of scholars in Saudi are in a (state) of complete blindness and ignorance regarding the new problems and their Salafiyyah is Taqleediyyah (i.e. Salafiyyah based on blind following) and it is not worthy of anything.

Imaam Abdul-Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) responded:

This speech is false, for indeed the scholars of Saudi are acquainted with the problems of the era and indeed they have written a lot about it, and I am from them- Bi hamdil laah! Indeed they have written in that regard that which cannot be counted (i.e. numerous) and they- Bi Hamdil laah- are among those who are the most knowledgeable of the Madhab of Ahlus Sunnah Wal-Jamaa’ah and they follow that which the Salafus Saaleh followed in the subject matter of Tawheed, Asmaa Was-Sifaat, the subject matter of warning against bidah and in all the abwaab (areas of knowledge. Read -if you are ignorant- the Majmoo’ah of Ibn Qaasim (Ad-Durar As-Saniyyah) and the Fataawaa of our Shaikh Muhammad Bin Ibraaheem (rahimahullaah). Read what we have written in that regard (i.e. the affairs of the era) in our Fataawaa and our books are widespread among the people.

There is no doubt that what he (i.e. Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul Khaaliq) said about the scholars of Saudi is not correct- it is a mistake and a munkar (evil affair). It is obligatory upon you (i.e. Abdul Khaaliq) to recant from that and announce that in the newspapers in Kuwait and Saudi. We ask Allaah for guidance- for ourselves and you- and a return to the truth and steadfastness upon it. Indeed He (Allaah) is the best of those who are asked. [Source: Al-Majoo 8/242]

O Muslim Ummah! Call yourselves to account, repent to your Lord, ask for His Forgiveness, rush towards obedience to Him and guard yourselves against disobedience to Him….

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) stated:

O Muslim Ummah! Call yourselves to account, repent to your Lord, ask for His Forgiveness, rush towards obedience to Him and guard yourselves against disobedience to Him.   Co-operate upon righteousness and piety, and do good, truly Allaah loves the good-doers.  Be just, truly Allaah loves those who are just. Perform numerous righteous deeds before death approaches.

Be merciful to your weak ones and be charitable to your poor ones.  Increase in the Remembrance of Allaah and in seeking His Forgiveness.  Enjoin good and forbid evil in order that you may be shown mercy. Take a lesson from the calamities that have afflicted others due to sins and disobedience.  Indeed, Allaah accepts the repentance of those who repent and shows Mercy to the good-doers.  Allaah (Glorified be He) will give the good end results to the pious ones, as He (Glorified be He) stated:

فَاصْبِرْ ۖ إِنَّ الْعَاقِبَةَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

So be patient. Surely, the (good) end is for the Muttaqûn. 11:49

Allaah (The Most High) said:

إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوا وَّالَّذِينَ هُم مُّحْسِنُونَ

Truly, Allâh is with those who fear Him (keep their duty unto Him), and those who are Muhsinûn (good-doers) 16:128

Allah responds to supplication when asked through His Beautiful Names and Lofty Attributes, so we ask Him to show mercy to His Muslim slaves.  And that He gives them understanding of their religion and aids them against His enemies and their enemies. And that He sends down suffering on them (i.e. the enemies of Allaah and the Muslim) – a type of suffering that is not averted from a rebellious people.  Indeed, Allaah has authority and power over that. And may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, his companions and those who follow them in goodness till the Day of Judgment.

[1] A Reminder: It is an Obligation to Know the Path Of The believers and the path of the criminals in detail, so do not say, ”I do not need to read a lot because I am a Commoner” rather visit the websites that will teach you the detail affairs of Manhaj from the Salafi Scholars

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

A Reminder to the brothers and sisters that it is not enough to solely rely on short YouTube clips, twitter or always expecting the students to visit the Maraakiz in person in order to clarify the manhaj issues, rather we have to allocate time for reading every day, especially on those days that the students are not delivering lessons. The students at SP have translated numerous articles to aid us acquaint ourselves with the sound manhaj issues and stances, and so that we are acquainted with the deceptions of ahlul bidah and the Hizbiyyoon. Therefore, do often visit websites such as www.salafipublications.com salafis.com manhaj.com takfirist.com and salafitalk.net

Do not just say I am a commoner, so I am not going to read a lot, rather the reason the students have translated the articles in the websites mentioned above is so that we are safeguarded from deviation by Allaah’s permission.

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) said: It is an Obligation to Know the Path Of The believers and the path of the criminals. Allaah (The Most High) said:[وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ وَلِتَسْتَبِينَ سَبِيلُ الْمُجْرِمِينَ – ‘nd thus do We explain the Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail, that the way of the Mujrimoon (criminals, polytheists, sinners), may become manifest.’ 6:55]

And Allaah (Glorified be He) said:

وَمَن يُشَاقِقِ الرَّسُولَ مِن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ الْهُدَىٰ وَيَتَّبِعْ غَيْرَ سَبِيلِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ نُوَلِّهِ مَا تَوَلَّىٰ وَنُصْلِهِ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَسَاءَتْ مَصِيرًا

And whoever contradicts and opposes the Messenger (Muhammad) after the right path has been shown clearly to him, and follows other than the believers’ way. We shall keep him in the path he has chosen’ [4:115]

Indeed Allaah Glorified be He) has clarified the path of the believers in detail and that of the criminals in detail in His Book (i.e. the Qur’aan). He has (clarified) the end result of (believers) in detail and that of the (criminals) in detail. He has (clarified) the actions of the believers in detail and that of the (criminals) in detail. He has made known the allies of the (believers) in detail and that of the (criminals) in detail. He has (clarified in detail how He) forsake the (criminals) and His bestowal of success upon the (believers) in detail. He has (clarified) the reasons for the success of the (believers) in detail and the reasons for the failure of the (criminals) in detail. He (Glorified be He) has placed great importance on these two affairs in His Book, and has manifested, illustrated and clarified both of them with an utmost clarification, to the extent that both (affairs) become clearly visible in the same way as light and darkness are visible to the eyesight.

A Reminder to the Mancunian Mu’mayyi: Spreading Tales Has Never Been Tolerated In Al-Markazus Salafi and We Have Never Underestimated The Destructive Consequences of Rumour-Mongering Regardless Who The Perpetrator Was!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah (The Most High) said that Luqmaan (alayhis-salaam) said to his son:

يَا بُنَيَّ أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ وَأْمُرْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَانْهَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَاصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا أَصَابَكَ ۖ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ الْأُمُورِ

O my son, perform the salaat, and command right and forbid wrong, and bear patiently whatever may befall you.  Verily! These are some of the important commandments ordered by Allah with no exemption. [Surah Luqman Ayah 17]

So let it be the case amongst ourselves that we do not become weak in standing for what is right and clear. Just as we transmit the works of the scholars against the Hizbiyyoon and the people of Bidah, likewise we should never shy away from admonishing anyone who seeks to spread tales amongst us. All praise is due to Allaah, you will neither find those involved in Dawah nor the genuine people initiating any evil, such as speculation and slander against others; rather these deeds are always initiated by infiltrators and those who harbour rancour in their hearts against the Salafiyyoon. Therefore, we do not become lackadaisical regarding the affair of those who target young brothers for spreading tales. We have never underestimated the destructive consequences of rumour-mongering and blameworthy hatred and we will never tolerate it, regardless who the perpetrator is. So do not fear the blame of the blamers whilst seeking to stand for what is right. The Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:

I order you to be truthful, for verily truthfulness leads to righteousness (al-birr) and verily righteousness leads to Paradise. And a man continues to be truthful and strives for truthfulness until he is written as a truthful person with Allaah. Beware of falsehood, for verily falsehood leads to sinning (al-fujoor) and verily sinning leads to the Fire. And a man continues to tell lies and strives upon falsehood until he is written as a lair with Allaah.

[Reported by al-Bukhaari and Muslim.]

The Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:

The Muslim is the brother of a Muslim, he does not deceive him or forsake him. Every Muslim’s honour, wealth and blood are haraam for another Muslim. Taqwa is here (while pointing towards his chest), it is sufficient evil for a Muslim to look down upon his Muslim brother.

[Reported by at-Tirmidhi who declared it hasan saheeh.]

The Messenger (sallaahu alayhi wasallam) said:

Do not envy each other do not hate each other, do not oppose each other, do not enter in to a sale when someone else has entered into that sale. And be servants of Allaah, the Most High and as fellow brothers. A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim; he neither oppresses him nor forsakes him. Taqwaa is here (while he was pointing to his chest 3 times). It is sufficient evil for a Muslim to look down upon his Muslim brother. Every Muslim’s blood, wealth and honour are haraam for another Muslim.

[Reported by Muslim.]

The Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:

Help your brother, the oppressor or oppressed. So a man asked: O Messenger of Allaah, one can help him if he is oppressed but how can I help the oppressor?? He said: Restrain or prevent him from committing oppression, for that is helping him.

[Reported by al-Bukhaari.]

It is well known in Al-Markazus Salafi that the Centre (may Allaah protect it) is neither a safe haven for the Haddaadiyyah nor the Mu’mayyi’oon. Likewise, neither is Al-Markazus Salafi a safe haven for those deceitful people who think that by opposing the Hajaawirah, they will be unnoticed whilst they seek to propagate Tamyi, nor is it a safe haven for slanderers and rumour-mongers.

Therefore, I advise my noble Salafi brothers and sisters at Al-Markazus Salafi to maintain their unity upon the Sunnah and strive to repel everything that will lead to rancour and falsehood. Do not lend an ear to rumour-mongers or those infiltrators who seek who spread falsehood about Salafiyyoon in Birmingham or elsewhere. Ustaadh Abu Khadeehjah (may Allaah preserve him) stated in one of his lessons in our presence: If a rumour-monger comes to you to speak about a Salafi brother, then say to him: Go and advise him or I will take you to him to advise him. This way you will stop them from spreading rumours amongst the Salafiyyoon.

And Allaah knows best

Abu Mu’aawiyah (Abdullah Al-Gambi)

A Reminder to the Mancunian Mu’mayyi Tale Carrier- That One Hiding Amongst the Salafiyyoon of al-Markazus Salafi to Spread Tales about Salafiyyoon outside Manchester!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Jaabir (radiyallaahu-anhu) said: We were with the Prophet (salallaahu- alayhi- wassallam), when there came a foul smell. The Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu alayhi -wassallam) said: “Do you know what that smell is? That is the stench of those who gossip and backbite the believers.”[Ahmad, Al-Adab al-Mufrad]

Indeed, we see some of those who claim Salafiyyah, but are quick to spread tales against the Salafiyyoon. However, they are quick to find excuses for the hizbiyyoon of Masjid As-Sunnah and would even attempt to make the disgraceful claim that the difference between the Salafiyyoon of Al-Markazus Salafi and the staunch Hizbiyyoon of Masjid Sunnah is personal. This behaviour of theirs is nothing else but a disgrace. The likes of these people are known for their lukewarm stances. They sit on the edge of the Salafis, on the fence between us and the hizbiyoon. There is a group in every Markaz and depending on the size of the community their number varies. They usually have good jobs and are professionals even and maybe this they believe entitles them to an opinion on matters of Dawa. You cannot refute them because they are apparently with you. However you cannot rely upon them because they harbour stuff against you in their hearts. When fitna comes they will usually be in the crowd of those attacking you, or at least egging the attackers on. But they will do just about enough to cover their own backs so that they aren’t played with those fitnah makers. They will go about looking for individuals that share a similar mentality, and they will unite in backbiting you with anyone who opposes the masjid and dawa. [End of quote]

Brothers and sisters, these people are filled with rancour and envy because they do not like to see the Salafiyyoon of Manchester and elsewhere being firm. So they invent stories and gossip, just like the ‘gutter-press’ does to cause the hatred and rancour.

As for the Salafiyyoon of Manchester and elsewhere, they have –and all praise is due to Allaah- in every fitnah been upon the truth and remained firm upon it, openly proclaiming it and not fearing the blame of the blamers. This is what grieves these envious cowards in Manchester and elsewhere, which is why they attempt to bring down the Salafees with lies and deception. This is nothing else but the plot of the devil because these tale carriers cannot find any mistakes in Aqeedah or Manhaj or walaa and baraa or positions that need to be held with which they can find fault? They have utterly failed and all they have with them is gossip and envy.

Indeed this tale carrier and gossip-monger is a coward with a weak character and a pathetic personality, who does not have the courage to advise, and nor to identify himself to the ones he seeks to defame. That is why you find that tale-carriers are hardly caught. But one thing that they don’t realize (or do not care about) is that Allaah knows everything about them and tale carrying carries a severe punishment. The Prophet (salallaahu alayhi wassallam) passed some graves and informed his Companions that its inhabitants were being punished due to them not cleaning correctly after urination and spreading tales and gossip-mongering. [Ahmad]

In another narration, the Messenger, (salallaahu alayhi wassallam) said: “When I was taken up into the Heavens, I passed by some people who had copper claws tearing at their faces and chests. I asked, ‘Who are these, O Jibreel?’ He said, ‘They are those who ate the flesh of people, and violated their honour.” [Musnad Ahmad]

So, the likes of this tale carrier and gossip-monger may be able to deceive some people through his evil deeds, but they are not hidden from Allaah, the All-Knowing. And when they are confronted, you find them claiming that they had said nothing or pretend to be ignorant. Then when they return to their pack of devils, after having openly and shamelessly lied, continue with their evil.  All of this, they do, due to their envy, jealousy and desire for status.  This is the behaviour of these tale carriers in Manchester and elsewhere, who still backbite the Salafiyyoon.

We pray that Allaah guides them to their senses and guides them to sincerity. And if they do not return, we pray that distance them from the Salafiyyoon and expose their evil plots. Aameen

Abu Mu’aawiyah (Abdullah Al-Gambi)

Be pleased with what Allaah has bestowed on you and you’ll attain contentment!

Question:

The questioner asks: How can a person attain contentment with what Allaah has provided for him (or her)?

Answer:
Among those specific (manners) that will enable a person to be contented with what Allaah portioned out for him (or she) is to have Ridaa (i.e. to be pleased with Allaah’s decree and submit to it without any resistance or displeasure) with the livelihood Allaah has portioned out for him (or her). Allaah (Glorified be He and free is He from all imperfections) stated:

It is We Who portion out between them their livelihood in this world, and We raised some of them above others in ranks, so that some may employ others in their work. But the Mercy (Paradise) of your Lord (O Muhammad) is better than the (wealth of this world) which they amass. [43:32]

This (i.e. what is stated in this ayah) enables a person to be contented with what Allaah has portioned out for him (or her). And also because of this Allaah (The Most High) said to His noble Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam):

وَلَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعْنَا بِهِ أَزْوَاجًا مِّنْهُمْ زَهْرَةَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا لِنَفْتِنَهُمْ فِيهِ ۚ وَرِزْقُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ

And strain not your eyes in longing for the things We have given for enjoyment to various groups of them (polytheists and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah), the splendour of the life of this world that We may test them thereby. But the provision (good reward in the Hereafter) of your Lord is better and more lasting. [20:131]

Abu Hurairah (radiyallaahu-anhu) said that the Messenger of Allaah (salllal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said: Look to those below you (i.e. compare yourselves to those lesser in status and provision than you etc) and do not look to those above you (i.e. those given higher status or provision more than you). This is more appropriate lest you look down upon Allaah’s favours (upon you). [Reported by Muslim]

Few office Etiquettes for the Muslim Employee

Question:

What is the ruling with regards to taking out time at work whether that is little or a lot, and also the ruling with regards to using the work telephone (for personal use)?

Answer:
You are entrusted with the work you do and Allaah (Glorified Be He and free is He from all imperfections) stated:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَخُونُوا اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ وَتَخُونُوا أَمَانَاتِكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

O you who believe! Betray not Allah and His Messenger, nor betray knowingly your Amanat (things entrusted to you, and all the duties which Allah has ordained for you). [8:27]

It is betrayal to take from that which you are entrusted (without permission), even if your boss excuses you. That is because maybe he is not the one in charge of this (i.e. he is not the one with the authority to excuse you). But if he is the one in charge and gives you permission (to take time out), there is no harm in taking it.

As for the work telephone or other things, it is better to refrain from using them out fear of falling into some unlawful. However, if (using the office phone for personal use) is something known amongst everyone in the office (i.e. known to both employer and employees) and no one says anything about it (i.e. objects), there is no harm using it InshaaAllaah.
