The Wicked Plotters Against The Messengers and Their Followers Were Unsuccesful

Allaah (The Most High) said:

وَكَذَٲلِكَ جَعَلۡنَا فِى كُلِّ قَرۡيَةٍ أَڪَـٰبِرَ مُجۡرِمِيهَا لِيَمۡڪُرُواْ فِيهَا‌ۖ وَمَا يَمۡڪُرُونَ إِلَّا بِأَنفُسِہِمۡ وَمَا يَشۡعُرُونَ

”And thus We have set up in every town the greatest of its criminals to plot therein. But they plot not except against their ownselves, and they perceive (it) not.” [Soorah Al-An’aam: Ayah 123]

[وَكَذَٲلِكَ جَعَلۡنَا فِى كُلِّ قَرۡيَةٍ أَڪَـٰبِرَ مُجۡرِمِيهَا] ”And thus We have set up in every town great ones of its wicked people;” That is those figureheads whose crimes were great and whose transgressions were severe.

[لِيَمۡڪُرُواْ فِيهَا‌ۖ] ”to plot therein” with deceit; calling to the path of shaytaan; waging war against the Messengers and their followers through speech and action.  However, their plots and machinations only backfired on them. That is because they plotted and Allah too was planning, and Allah is the Best of the planners.

Likewise Allaah set up great ones amongst the leaders of guidance and the most virtuous of them, who opposed those criminals; refuted their statements and strove against them in the path of Allaah.  They followed the paths leading to the path (of Allaah) and Allaah aided them. Allaah gave them an acute discernment and kept them steadfast.  So the days of victory and defeat alternated between them and their enemies, until the affair came to its final end—victory and triumph (for the believers) and the good final end is for the Muttaqoon (i.e. the pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)].

This is the most disobedient person to the Messenger!

Allaah (The Most High) said:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تُقَدِّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيِ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

O you who believe! Do not put (yourselves) forward before Allah and His Messenger, and fear Allah. Verily! Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. [49:1]

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَكُمْ فَوْقَ صَوْتِ النَّبِيِّ

O you who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet…[49:2]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) said:

When it is the case that Allaah forbade (them) from giving precedence to (themselves) over the Messenger, then which type of giving precedence to oneself over the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) can be more severe than giving precedence to one’s intellect over the revelation he was sent with?

Many of the Salaf have stated (that this ayah means): ‘’Do not say anything (about the religion) until the messenger speaks and do not act until he commands you.’’

The most disobedient person amongst the people and the most severe with regards to giving precedence to him (or herself) over the Messenger is that one who gives precedence to his (or her) intellect or the intellect of another person over the revelation the Messenger was sent with. And when it is the case that Allaah has indeed forbidden them from raising their voices above the voice of the Messenger, then how about raising their intellects above the statements of the Messenger and the revelation he came with?

A Warning Against The ‘Tobooliyyaat’ and its UK Advocates

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah) said:

[الطبوليات ] are those Masaa-il (affairs of the religion) by way of which fame is sought. They are called Tubooliyyaat because it is similar to a Tabl (drum) which has a sound and an echo. So when an odd affair (i.e. an affair that is exaggerated or exceeds the proper boundaries of the Sharee’ah) comes to the people and a (person) becomes famous by way of it, then it becomes as if it is the sound of a drum.

There are no Muslim scholars in the West, so protect yourselves from those deviants being presented as scholars by naive Journalists

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

The way to know a scholar is that (you) ask the people of knowledge in his era about him.  He should be well known amongst the Fuqahaa (the upright jurists) of his era and supported by what they say about his affair.  He should be well known for seeking knowledge.

Shu’bah (rahimahullaah) said:

”Take knowledge from those who are well-known(i.e. those who are well-known and established in it).”

Ibn Awn (rahimahullaah) said:

”Do not take this knowledge except from one about whom it is testified that (he acquired it) through Talab (i.e. studied or studies with the scholars).”

Imaam Maalik Ibn Anas (rahimahullaah) said: I did not give fatwa until I asked those who were more knowledgeable than me, as to whether I was competent in doing that.  I asked Rabee and Yahyah Bin Sa’eed, so they commanded me to do that. So (the one speaking to Maalik at the time) said: O father of Abdullaah! What if they prohibited you? He replied: ‘’Then I would have stopped. It is not permissible for a person to consider himself worthy of anything (i.e. teaching, giving fatwa etc) until he asks someone (from the scholars) who is more knowledgeable than him.’’ [End of quote (1)]

Al-Allaamah Ubaid Ibn Abdillaah Al-Jaabiri (may Allaah preserve him) also stated: If the affair of a person is hidden from you–the one whose books and cassettes are famous and his fame is widespread–then ask those who are well acquainted with him and those who know about his state of affairs.  That is because neither is the Sunnah hidden nor are its people. A man’s Tazkiyah (i.e. the clear witness that he is upright upon the Sunnah) are his own actions. His Tazkiyah are his own actions that he is upon the Sunnah. It is the witness and the people mention him with it during his life and after his death. [End of quote (2)]

So just ask yourself a simple question: Who amongst the scholars of Salafiyyah has given the UK pretenders the title ‘Scholar?’ The deceitful pretenders do not have a single recommendation showing that they are upright and trustworthy, rather some of them are well known for Ikhwaanism, Qutubiyyah, Sorooriyyah, Khurooj and others are advocates of Irjaa, philosophical rhetoric and other innovations.

The Mubtadi (Innovator in religious affairs) is the cause of Splitting in the Ummah

Shaikh Zaid Bin Haadi Al-Madkhali (rahimahullaah) said:

It is not permissible for the one who knows something about the innovation of the partisan group Ikhwaan Al-Muslimeen (i.e. The Muslim Brother’-a deviated sect founded by the Soofee Hasan Al-Bannah of Eyypt) or other than them amongst the people of innovation and error that he remains silent about clarifying their affair, even though he has the ability to clarify. That is because refuting the people of innovation and error is obligatory upon those who have the ability to do so amongst the People of Knowledge.   And when (refutation) is established by some of them the obligation is lifted from the rest.

And as for fearing splitting as a result of refutation against the sects, there is no legislated excuse for refraining (i.e. refraining from carrying out such refutation). That is because having love for Ijtimaa (unity upon the sound creed and methodology of the Salaf) is the correct stance and is more deserving to be desired and followed.  The Mubtadi (the innovator) is the cause of splitting in the Ummah because splitting is connected to innovation and unity is connected to the Sunnah.

And the obligation of refutation against the Mukhaalif (i.e. the one in opposition to the truth) is not lifted from the scholar due to anticipation of harm, unless it is harm that he is not able to bear (or repel); then (in this case), Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear.  The earth is not devoid of people of knowledge who will carry out refutation against the innovator and the Mukhaalif.

Question to Shaikh Fawzaan: What is the ruling on the one who defends a person of innovation and says…..

Question to Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him)

What is the ruling on the one who defends a person of innovation and says: ‘(This person) has good deeds and has given service to Islaam in such’, since this has become widespread amongst some of the callers.  What is the ruling on this?

Answer:

We clarify errors in order that the people may keep away from them.  As for good deeds, then the knowledge of this is with Allaah and we do not have knowledge of it.  Whatever his good deeds are they will not be lost and we are not a scale by which good and evil deeds are weighed.  Good and evil deeds have their scale on the Day of Judgement with Allaah (The Most High).

Our intention is not to diminish the individual, rather our intention is to clarify the truth and unveil errors so that people may not fall into them.  As for the personal affairs of the person, we do not enter into that.  If he has good deeds, then his good deeds will not be lost with Allaah.  We neither talk about his good deeds nor do we say that he has no good deeds.  Allaah is more knowledgeable about his good deeds and our intention is to clarify errors in order that people do not incline towards them.

A trait Adopted by Some of The People in Our Era from the Pre-Islamic People of Ignorance

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhaab stated in Masaa’ilil Jaahiliyyah: They (People of the Era of Pre-Islamic Ignorance) accused the People of the Religion of having little understanding and Poor Memory.  They utilized the argument to determine the falsity of a religion-that the people who followed it had little understanding and poor memory, as Allaah stated that the said:  And they (too) followed you (i.e. Nooh) without thinking.’[11:27]

Sheikh Saaleh Al Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him) commented on the above saying:

Regarding what Allaah has stated about the people of Nooh and their saying: ‘And they (too) followed you without thinking.’[11:27] that is: The weak ones- ‘those who followed without thinking’, who possess no understanding.

So they (people of the Pre-Islamic period of ignorance) reviled the followers of the Messengers that they possess neither understanding nor are they well versed in the affairs, and they do not possess far-sightedness.  This is what many amongst those who have strayed from the right course and the enemies of Allaah brag about today.  They make fun of the Muslims and their scholars, that they neither possess understanding nor far-sightedness.  They seek to diminish the scholars with this calumny despite the fact that the scholars of the Muslims are people of clear sightedness and cognizance because they examine (affairs) with the guidance of Allaah. They command what Allaah has commanded and forbid what Allaah has forbidden.

And there is no doubt that the steadfast and righteous scholars are the best people after the Messengers (alayhimus-salaatu-was-salaam).  The superiority of the scholar over the worshipper is like that of the moon over all the stars.  Therefore, none diminishes the scholars and charges them with short-sightedness and lack of understanding, except one who has similarities with the people of Jaahiliyyah and the people of Nooh, who described the followers of the Messengers with this description, in order to drive the people away from them.

This (i.e. accusing the scholars of short sightedness and lack of understanding) is uttered from the tongues of some of the people today.  They say: ‘’these scholars are ‘ulamaa’u hayd wan- nifaas’ (i.e. scholars whose knowledge is limited to the rulings pertaining to menstruation and postnatal bleeding); and that they are ‘ulamaa’u ahkaamul Istijmaar’ [scholars whose knowledge is limited to the rulings pertaining to istijmaar (i.e. the use of dry objects such as stones, tissue etc, to clean oneself after using the toilet], and that they are ‘ulamaa’u juz-iyyaat’ (i.e. scholars who only possess knowledge of some affairs or whose knowledge is restricted to some affairs), and that they do not possess knowledge of current affairs.  And the knowledge of current affairs (according to these ones that accuse and revile the scholars) is the affairs of politics and revolt against the Muslim rulers.

Yasir Qadhi (The Ikhwaani Human Devil) Questions Umar Ibnul Khattaab’s (radiyallaahu-anhu) knowledge! Read this statement of Imaam Ibn Rajab (rahimahullaah)

Imaam Ibn Rajab (rahimahullaah) said: Indeed we have been put to trial through the ignorance of a people who believe that some of those latecomers who speak at length (in affairs of the religion) are more knowledgeable than the predecessors (i.e. the early scholars). Amongst them is one who thinks that a (particular) individual is more knowledgeable than everyone who has preceded from amongst the Sahaabah and those who succeeded them, due to his (i.e. this individual) numerous clarifications and statements. And amongst them is one who says that (this individual) is more knowledgeable than the well- known emulated jurists. This (belief or view) is a great devaluation of the pious predecessors; an evil suspicion, and attributing ignorance and deficiency in knowledge to them.
