”The Prophet is more worthy of the believers than themselves.” [Al-Ahzaab. Ayah:6]

Summarized benefits:

The closest thing a person possesses and the most important thing he has is him/herself. However, the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) is more worthy of person than him/herself. That is because the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) gave them (i.e. the creation) sincere advise, and showed them affection and compassion. There is none who shows the most mercy and compassion to the creation except that the Messenger is the greatest favour amongst the creation to the people than everyone else. That is because neither an atom’s weight of good has reached them nor an atom’s weight of evil is repelled from them, except through him (i.e. due to the message he conveyed to them from Allaah). And for this reason it is obligated on them that when the desires of their souls are in opposition to what the Messenger wants (from them), they should give precedence to what the Messenger wants (from them). They should not oppose the statement of the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) with the statement of anyone else—regardless who that person may be—and they are to sacrifice themselves, their wealth and offspring in giving precedence to loving the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wsallam) over the entire creation. They are not to say anything (i.e. in the religion) until he says so, nor do they put themselves forward before him. In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

[Source: Ar-Rakaa-iz Al-Ashar Lit-Tahseel Al-Ilm’ (pages 9-10) by Shaikh Abdullaah Ibn Salfeeq Adh-Dhufayri (may Allaah preserve him) with the introduction of Al-Allaamah Ahmad An-Najmi (rahimahullaah)] ———————————————————————————————————————————————————

A person is weak and there is no might nor power except with Allaah If  he (i.e. the person) is entrusted to himself, he will be destroyed and ruined. And if he entrusts his affair to Allaah (The Most High) and seeks His Aid in seeking knowledge, then indeed Allaah will aid him. Indeed Allaah (The Mighty and Majestic) – in His Book- has exhorted (one) towards this. He (The Most High) stated: [إِيَّاكَ نَعۡبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسۡتَعِينُ –You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything)]

And He (The Most High) stated:

وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسۡبُهُ

”And whosoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him.” (65:3)]; meaning: Allaah is his Guardian.

Allaah (The Most High) said:

وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَتَوَكَّلُوٓاْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ

”And put your trust in Allah if you are believers indeed.” (5:23)]

The Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:

”If you were to put your trust in Allah the way He deserves, He will provide for you as he provides for the birds. They leave in the morning with an empty stomach and return in the afternoon with a full one.” [1]

Knowledge is the Greatest Provision.

Our Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) used to rely on Allaah and sought His Help in all his affairs. The supplication of leaving the home is proof of that as he (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) used to say:

[بِسم اللَّهِ ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ ، لا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلا بِاللَّهِ

”In the name of Allaah, I place my trust in Allaah, and there is no might nor power except with Allaah.” [2]

Don’t confuse yourself! Restraining the tongue does not necessitate keeping quiet about Ahlul Bidah

Imaam Ibn Rajab (rahimahullaah) said:

[  أما أهل البدع والضلالة ومن تشبه بالعلماء وليس منهم فيجوز بيان جهلهم وإظهار عيوبهم تحذيرا من الاقتداء بهم ]

”As for ahlul bidah wad-dalaalah (the people of innovation and misguidance) and those who imitate the scholars, but are not from them, then it is permissible to clarify their ignorance and manifest their dificiencies, so as to warn (others) from following them.”

Our Salaf: Imaam Al-Awzaa’ee- Be patient with yourself upon the Sunnah

Imaam Al-Awzaa’ee (rahimahullaah) said:

Be patient with yourself upon the Sunnah and stop were [Al-Qawm-the people (i.e. Sahaabah(1)] stopped; speak with what they spoke with; refrain from what they refrained from and follow the path of your righteous predecessors; for indeed what sufficed them suffices you. (2)

Supplicate for our Muslim Rulers and do not Supplicate against them!

Abu Uthmaan Saeed  Bin Ismaa’eel [rahimahullaa (1)] said:  ”Advice the Muslim ruler (in private) and make a lot of supplication for him to be righteous and rightly guided in speech, action and judgement. Indeed, if they (rulers) are righteous, the slaves of Allaah will be righteous by way of them (i.e. through their ruler ship).  Beware of supplicating against them by way cursing and thus they increase in evil and (cause) calamity upon the muslims. Rather supplicate for them to be granted the ability to repent, so that they abandon evil and calamity is removed from the Muslims.

When Abu Zur’ah (rahimahullaah) was asked about Al-Haarith Al-Muhaasibiy and his books; he said to the questioner:

Statements of the Salafi Scholars against ISIS [The Khawaarij of Syria and Iraq]

How Does Ahlus Sunnah Deal With The Khawaarij [Bloodthirsty Terrorists-Dogs of The Hell Fire] If They Transgress–Imaam Barbahaari clarifies

Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah) stated in Sharh- As Sunnah:

‘It is permissible to fight the Khawaarij if they attack the wealth of the Muslims, or the Muslims and their families, but if they are dispersed, then the Muslim Ruler is not to seek after them, nor are their wounded to be killed, nor is booty taken from them, nor may those taken captive be killed, nor are those who flee to be pursued.’

Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him) said:

And regarding the saying of Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah): ‘It is permissible to fight the Khawaarij if they attack the wealth of the Muslims, or the Muslims and their families;’ because the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) commanded that they are to be fought, and because Ali (radiyallaahu-anhu) fought them when they attacked and killed Abdullaah Ibn Khabbaab al Arrat and ripped open the stomach of his pregnant wife.  So Ameerul Mumineen Ali (radiyallaahu-anhu) decided to fight them as they brought about a good reason to be fought against.

And regarding the saying of Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah): ‘But if they are dispersed, then the Muslim leader is not to seek after them’ If they desist from fighting, the ruler is not to chase them, nor carry out a military expedition against them, as long as they do not commit acts of transgression.  And no doubt they are misguided and are to be advised in hope that they may return (repentant) and are not fought.

And regarding the saying of Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah): ‘Nor are their wounded to be killed’; because the evil of the injured person is curtailed.

And regarding the saying of Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah): ‘Nor is booty to be taken from them’, meaning: their wealth is not to be taken as war booty; because it is the wealth of the Muslims.

And regarding the saying of Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah): ‘Nor may those taken captive be killed’ because they are Muslims, and by being injured and taken as captive their evil is curtailed.

And regarding the saying of Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah): ‘Nor are those who flee to be pursued’.  If they flee, the leader is to leave them alone and not go after them as their evil is curtailed.
