The best of deeds is the fulfillment of what Allaah has made obligatory, refraining from what Allaah has forbidden out of fear of Him and having a truthful intention in (hoping) for what Allaah has with Him (of reward in the hereafter).
Sulaymaan At-Taymi (rahimahullaah) wept severely when he became ill; so it was said to him, “What makes you weep, it is out of distress (because) of death?” He said: No, rather I went pass a Qadariy and gave him salaam, so I fear that my Lord will call me to account for that.
Ibn Shawdhab (rahimahullaah) said: Indeed, from the blessings of Allaah upon a young person man when he becomes devoted to (piety), is that he takes a person of Sunnah as a brother who guides him to it (i.e. to the Sunnah)
Ayyoub As-Sakhtiyaani (rahimahullaah) said: Indeed, from the good fortune (upon) a young man or a Non-Arab is that grants them a scholar from Ahlus Sunnah.
Yusuf Bin Asbaat (rahimahullaah) said: ”If it reaches you about a man in the east that he is person of the Sunnah, then send salaams to him; for indeed Ahlus Sunnah are few.”
Be patient with yourself upon the Sunnah and stop were [Al-Qawm-the people (i.e. Sahaabah(1)] stopped; speak with what they spoke with; refrain from what they refrained from and follow the path of your righteous predecessors; for indeed what sufficed them suffices you. (2)

Abu Uthmaan Saeed Bin Ismaa’eel [rahimahullaa (1)] said: ”Advice the Muslim ruler (in private) and make a lot of supplication for him to be righteous and rightly guided in speech, action and judgement. Indeed, if they (rulers) are righteous, the slaves of Allaah will be righteous by way of them (i.e. through their ruler ship). Beware of supplicating against them by way cursing and thus they increase in evil and (cause) calamity upon the muslims. Rather supplicate for them to be granted the ability to repent, so that they abandon evil and calamity is removed from the Muslims.
