In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy
Allaah (The Most High) informed us in Surah Ghaafir [Aayaat 41-44] that the believer said:
[وَيَـٰقَوۡمِ مَا لِىٓ أَدۡعُوڪُمۡ إِلَى ٱلنَّجَوٰةِ ] ”O my people! How is that I call you to salvation” by way of what I say to you; [وَتَدۡعُونَنِىٓ إِلَى ٱلنَّار ] ”while you call me to the fire” in order that (I) may abandon following the Prophet of Allaah Moosaa (alayhis-salaam).
Then he (the believer) explained: [تَدۡعُونَنِى لِأَڪۡفُرَ بِٱللَّهِ وَأُشۡرِكَ بِهِۦ مَا لَيۡسَ لِى بِهِۦ عِلۡمٌ۬ ] “You invite me to disbelieve in Allaah (and in His Oneness), and to join partners in worship with Him; of which I have no knowledge” and that it deserves to be worshiped besides Allaah, when speaking about Allaah without knowledge is from the greatest of sins and most repugnant of (affairs).
[وَأَنَا۟ أَدۡعُوڪُمۡ إِلَى ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡغَفَّـٰرِ] “And I invite you to the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving!”– The one that owns all power and others besides him do not have control over anything. The one that when His slaves transgress against themselves and act in a manner that incurs wrath, but then if they repent and turn to Him in repentance, submission and obedience, He expiates their evil deeds and sins, and prevents what such (sins and acts of disobedience) necessitate of punishment in this life and the next.
[لَا جَرَمَ] ”No doubt”; That is: In truth and with certainty that [أَنَّمَا تَدۡعُونَنِىٓ إِلَيۡهِ لَيۡسَ لَهُ ۥ دَعۡوَةٌ۬ فِى ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَلَا فِى ٱلۡأَخِرَةِ ] ”You call me to (worship) one who cannot grant (me) my request (or respond to my invocation) in this world or in the Hereafter;” That is: It is neither worthy of being invoked nor is (worthy) that protection is sought from it–neither in the world nor in the Hereafter due to its weakness and dificiency. Indeed it neither owns the power of benefit nor harm, and it neither owns the power to cause death nor give life, nor (the power) to resurrect.
And our return will be to Allaah” [The Most High] and He will reward every doer of deeds for his deeds.
And the (polytheists and arrogant one, those who commit great sins, the transgressors of Allaah’s set limits)! They shall be dwellers of the Fire!
So after he advised, warned and cautioned them, but they neither obeyed him nor agreed with him; he said to them:
[فَسَتَذۡكُرُونَ مَآ أَقُولُ لَڪُمۡۚ] ”And you will remember what I am telling you” concerning this advice and you shall see the consequences for not accepting it, when the punishment befalls you and you are deprived of much reward.
[وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمۡرِىٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۚ] ”And my affair I leave it to Allah;” That is: I turn to him; I seek shelter from Him and place all my affairs in His Hands. I rely on Him for my well-being and in repelling the harm I receive from you or others besides yourselves.
[إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَصِيرُۢ بِٱلۡعِبَادِ ] ”Verily, Allah is the All-Seer of (His) slaves.” He knows their state of affairs and what they deserve. He knows my state of affairs and weakness, so He will protect me against you and He suffices me against your evil. He knows your state of affairs and you cannot act except by His Pre-decree and Will. If you overpower me, then it will be wisdom from Him (The Most High) and that will occur due to His Pre-decree and Will.

May Allaah reward our brother Dawud [Markaz Mu’aadh (Slough)] for sending us these Aayaat as a reminder, so we decided to bring some few words of Imaam Sadi regarding them. We ask Allaah to include us amongst those who leave this worldly whilst being steadfast upon His Religion…Aameen.

Allaah (The Most High) said:
قُلۡ صَدَقَ ٱللَّهُۗ
”Say (O Muhammad): “Allah has spoken the truth.” [3: 95]
”And whose words can be truer than those of Allah? (Of course, none).” [4: 122]
”And none can inform you (O Muhammad) like Him Who is the All-Knower (of each and everything).” [35: 14]
”Say (O Muhammad): “What thing is the most great in witness?” Say: “Allah (the Most Great!) is Witness between me and you.’‘[6:19]
”But Allah bears witness to that which He has sent down (the Qur’an) unto you (O Muhammad), He has sent it down with His Knowledge, and the angels bear witness. And Allah is All-Sufficient as a Witness.’‘ [4:166]
”Allah bears witness that La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), and the angels, and those having knowledge (also give this witness); (He is always) maintaining His creation in Justice. La ilah illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.” [3: 18]
The Aayaat (concerning) this mighty affair are many, and they are indications to the clearest proofs that the most obligatory of obligations upon the slaves is that they should believe and testify to everything Allaah (The Most High) has stated about Himself–regarding His perfect Attributes and that which He negated from Himself regarding attributes of deficiency, and that Allaah is more knowledgeable of that than His creation. His testimony is the greatest testimony, and what He has stated about Himself and everything else is of the highest degree of truthfulness. So this makes it obligatory on the slave that he (or she) does not enter the least of doubt in his (or her) heart regarding any information given by Allaah. He (or she) is to place that (information) in his (or her) as a firm creed which can neither be opposed by anything in opposition nor blemished by (any) doubt.
He (or she) should know with certain knowledge that it is not possible for anything to (rightfully) oppose the information given by Allaah and His Messenger, and everything that opposes and negates it-regardless what type of knowledge that is- is self-evident falsehood. (It is) false in its judgement and there is nothing to be (considered) sound that can be in opposition to what Allaah has stated.
[Also these Aayaat (3:95; 4:122; 35:14; 6:19; 4:166; 3: 18 etc)] indicate towards the greatest proof that the one who establishes his (or her) creed solely on the information given by Allaah and His Messenger, then indeed he (or she) has established it upon a strong foundation; rather he (or she) has established it on the foundation of all sound foundations even if opponents were appointed or decreed for it.
And how can this not be the case [i.e. that he (or she) is established upon the basis of all sound foundations] when it is the (fact that) the sound intellectual proofs, the sound innate uncorrupted human disposition, the sound uncorrupted paths of comprehension and the sound uncorrupted human (self, frame of mind etc) are all in support of the information given by Allaah and His Messengers—testifying to the truthfulness of that which Allaah and His Messengers have stated and its benefits. And because of this Allaah has praised the people of sound understanding amongst the creation because they establish their creed based on this foundation. (Allaah informed us that they say):
رَّبَّنَا إِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَا مُنَادِيًا يُنَادِي لِلْإِيمَانِ أَنْ آمِنُوا بِرَبِّكُمْ فَآمَنَّا ِ
“Our Lord! Verily, we have heard the call of one (Muhammad) calling to Faith: ‘Believe in your Lord,’ and we have believed.” [3: 193]
”And they say, “We hear, and we obey.’‘ [2: 285)
Those who listen to the Word [good advice La ilaha ill-Allah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah) and Islamic Monotheism, etc.] and follow the best thereof (i.e. worship Allah Alone, repent to Him and avoid Taghut, etc.) those are (the ones) whom Allah has guided and those are men of understanding (like Zaid bin ‘Amr bin Nufail, Salman Al-Farisi and Abu Dhar Al-Ghifari). [39:18]
And from this one knows that the innovated statements and creeds of the futile people of philosophical rhetoric have neither been given any authority by Allaah nor are they based on the Qur’aan and the Sunnah; rather they are founded on the intellects of those whose mistakes and deviation is known. (Their views) are the most futile of all futilities and the most foolish of all foolish affairs because they turn away from the information given by Allaah and His Messengers—deceived by their souls that call to evil and abandoned to their intellects, which have neither been purified by the realities of Imaan nor have they been nourished with sound Imaan and firm certainty.
This foundation (i.e. belief and testifying to all the information given Allaah and His Messengers) is enough to refute all the statements of the people of deviation with a clear observation, whilst being acquainted with the falsehood (of such statements) in detail. That is because when we know that (these statements) are in opposition to the clear revealed Islamic texts and the sound unambiguous proofs transmitted by (the scholars from the Book, the Sunnah and the Salaf), then we will know their futility. And that is because anything that opposes the truth is falsehood and that which is in opposition to truthfulness is a lie.

And from that which a child is greatly in need of is that his (or her) manners are given attention; for indeed he (or she) is brought up upon the nurturing of his (or her) nurturer during childhood—be it (traits of) fury and anger, stubbornness, hastiness, being quick in following his (or her) desires, heedlessness, excitement and greed. It becomes difficult for him (or her) to break away from this in his (or her) adulthood, and thus these mannerisms become firmly grounded characteristics and personalities in him (or her). If he (or she) does not take great precaution against them, it will shame him (or her) someday. So because of this you find that many people are deviated in their manners and this occurs due to the manner in which they were brought up.
And due to this it is obligatory that when the child reaches that age in which he (or she) becomes conscious of good and bad, he (or she) is kept away from gatherings of jest and falsehood, music and listening to lewd speech, bidah and evil speech. That is because if he (or she) is accustomed to listening to these things, it becomes difficult for him (or her) to part from them in adulthood, and it becomes difficult for the one in charge of his (or her) affairs to keep him (or her) away from it—because to change one’s habits is from the most difficult of affairs and requires the person with such habits to change the nature he (or she) was nurtured upon, and to abandon one’s nature is very difficult.

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy
How many people know about love of Allaah, its rulings and all the affairs it necessitates; but his heart is deprived of it?! And how many a slave knows and bears witness to the pre-decree of Allaah and the excellence of sufficing oneself with Him; but when that which has been decreed takes place in opposition to what he likes, you see him anxious—having neither tranquility (and) certainty nor repose?! And only the one whose heart has acquired knowledge and awareness of Allaah in truth is tranquil about Allaah being sufficient for him, whilst submitting to His judgments, whatever the state of affairs may turn out to be. And how many people know the rulings of trade and its details; but at the time of dealing, buying and selling, he does not deal in a beautiful manner with others?! This is the same in many affairs with regards to this pattern of behaviour.
Therefore, do not be deceived when you know something that you will be attributed to it, and that is why it is legislated for the slave to ask Allaah for beneficial knowledge, and that is knowledge that produces actions (as its fruits). And Allaah knows best.

Some of the companions of Abdullaah Ibnul Mubaarak (rahimahullaah) saw him contemplating,
so they said to him: ”Where have you reached (in your contemplation)?”
He said:”The Siraat (i.e. the bridge)” [1]
—————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Reminder:
A Tremendous hadeeth about The Siraat and other affairs on Yawmul Qiyaamah
Narrated Abu Hurairah (radiyallaahu-anhu):
”The people said, “O Messenger of Allaah! Shall we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection?” He replied, “Do you have any doubt in seeing the full moon on a clear (not cloudy) night?” They replied, “No, O Allah’s Apostle!” He said, “Do you have any doubt in seeing the sun when there are no clouds?” They replied in the negative. He said, “You will see Allah (your Lord) in the same way. On the Day of Resurrection, people will be gathered and He will order the people to follow what they used to worship. So some of them will follow the sun, some will follow the moon, and some will follow other deities; and only this nation (Muslims) will be left with its hypocrites. Allah will come to them and say, ‘I am Your Lord.’ They will say, ‘We shall stay in this place till our Lord comes to us and when our Lord will come, we will recognize Him. Then Allah will come to them again and say, ‘I am your Lord.’ They will say, ‘You are our Lord.’ Allah will call them, and As-Sirat (a bridge) will be laid across Hell and I (Muhammad) shall be the first amongst the Messengers to cross it with my followers. Nobody except the Messengers will then be able to speak and they will be saying then, ‘O Allah! Save us. O Allah Save us.’
There will be hooks like the thorns of Sa’dan in Hell. Have you seen the thorns of Sa’dan?” The people said, “Yes.” He said, “These hooks will be like the thorns of Sa’dan but nobody except Allah knows their greatness in size and these will entangle the people according to their deeds; some of them will fall and stay in Hell forever; others will receive punishment (torn into small pieces) and will get out of Hell, till when Allah intends mercy on whomever He likes amongst the people of Hell, He will order the angels to take out of Hell those who worshipped none but Him alone. The angels will take them out by recognizing them from the traces of prostrations, for Allah has forbidden the (Hell) fire to eat away those traces. So they will come out of the Fire, it will eat away from the whole of the human body except the marks of the prostrations. At that time they will come out of the Fire as mere skeletons. The Water of Life will be poured on them and as a result they will grow like the seeds growing on the bank of flowing water. Then when Allah had finished from the Judgments amongst his creations, one man will be left between Hell and Paradise and he will be the last man from the people of Hell to enter paradise. He will be facing Hell, and will say, ‘O Allah! Turn my face from the fire as its wind has dried me and its steam has burnt me.’ Allah will ask him, “Will you ask for anything more in case this favor is granted to you?’ He will say, “No by Your (Honor) Power!” And he will give to his Lord (Allah) what he will of the pledges and the covenants. Allah will then turn his face from the Fire. When he will face Paradise and will see its charm, he will remain quiet as long as Allah will. He then will say, ‘O my Lord! Let me go to the gate of Paradise.’ Allah will ask him, ‘Didn’t you give pledges and make covenants (to the effect) that you would not ask for anything more than what you requested at first?’ He will say, ‘O my Lord! Do not make me the most wretched, amongst Your creatures.’ Allah will say, ‘If this request is granted, will you then ask for anything else?’ He will say, ‘No! By Your Power! I shall not ask for anything else.’ Then he will give to his Lord what He will of the pledges and the covenants. Allah will then let him go to the gate of Paradise. On reaching then and seeing its life, charm, and pleasure, he will remain quiet as long as Allah wills and then will say, ‘O my Lord ! Let me enter Paradise.’ Allah will say, May Allah be merciful unto you, O son of Adam! How treacherous you are! Haven’t you made covenants and given pledges that you will not ask for anything more than what you have been given?’ He will say, ‘O my Lord! Do not make me the most wretched amongst Your creatures.’ So Allah will laugh and allow him to enter Paradise and will ask him to request as much as he likes. He will do so till all his desires have been fulfilled. Then Allah will say, ‘Request more of such and such things.’ Allah will remind him and when all his desires and wishes; have been fulfilled, Allah will say “All this is granted to you and a similar amount besides.”
Abu Said Al-Khudri, said to Abu Huraira, ‘Allah’s Messenger said, “Allah said, ‘That is for you and ten times more like it.’ “Abu Huraira said, “I do not remember from Allah’s Messenger except (his saying), ‘All this is granted to you and a similar amount besides.” Abu Sahd said, “I heard him saying, ‘That is for you and ten times more the like of it.” [2]

Alif-Lam-Ra. These are the Verses of the Book (the Qur’an) Al-Hakim.”
Imaam Sadi (rahimahullaah) said: It is this Qur’aan, which includes (all affairs) of wisdom, and rulings whose verses guides to the realities of Imaan, the divine legislated commandments and prohibitions, which all the Ummah (i.e. the Muslim nation) has received with pleasure, acceptance and submission. However, despite this many of them (i.e. the disbelievers among mankind) turn away and they do not know; so they wonder [أَنۡ أَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰ رَجُلٍ۬ مِّنۡہُمۡ أَنۡ أَنذِرِ ٱلنَّاسَ ] ”That We have sent Our Inspiration to a man from among themselves (i.e. Prophet Muhammad) (saying): “Warn mankind” of Allaah’s punishment, and make them fear Allaah’s Anger, and remind them of Allaah’s Aayaat (i.e. his signs, revelations etc).
[وَبَشِّرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ ] ”And give good news to those who believe” with a truthful belief [أَنَّ لَهُمۡ قَدَمَ صِدۡقٍ عِندَ رَبِّہِم] ”That they shall have with their Lord the rewards of their good deeds”; That is: They will have abundant good recompense and accumulated rewards from their Lord due to the (good deeds) they have sent forth (for the hereafter) and the righteous truthful actions they have done. However, the disbelievers are amazed about this great man–a type amazement that led them to disbelieve in him; so [قَالَ ٱلۡڪَـٰفِرُونَ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَسَـٰحِرٌ۬ مُّبِين ] “The disbelievers say (about him): This is indeed an evident sorcerer”; That is: As they claimed, he has manifested clear sorcerer and it is not something hidden from anyone. This (statement of theirs) is due to their foolishness and obstinacy because they were amazed by an affair that should neither amaze them nor was it something strange to them; rather their ignorance and lack of awareness of what brings about well-being for them is what amazes one.
How is it that they did not believe in this noble Messenger who was sent among them and they knew him well, then they rejected his call and were eager to nullify his religion! But Allah will not allow except that His Light (i.e. the religion of Islamic monotheism which he gave all the Messengers) should be perfected even though the Kafirun (disbelievers) hate (it). [1]
